Just to explain this one, its not as non-sequiteur as it sounds....
Occasionally new coins are made, usually with decorative patterns or alternative images on the flip-side. I understand why she'd want to keep such coins rather than spend them - sometimes they're very intricate and beautiful.
I am sure that was me! At least it sounds a lot like me!
I love new coins, especially the 50 pence one with the leg on it!
