No Moms Left Behind

Daughter: "You know, elephants are the only animals that can't jump. I wonder why."
Mother: "OH! I bet it's because they have four legs!"

This silly myth is usually claims that elephants are the only MAMMALS that can't jump--something I'm of which I'm quite sceptical. (What about sloths? Hippos? Do elephants not jump when they run?) It's made it into science textbooks and every stupid useless 'facts' website on the planet.

Only a few times have I seen people stupid enough to change 'mammal' to animal, though. So slugs can jump? Worms? No. No and double-no. why must people repeat obviously ridiculous things?

Oh, yeah, and the mother's response is none too bright either. :-)

They do too jump! You just have to tickle them in the right place.

Make sure its the right place...hehe....tickle at a wrong place might be injurious to health.....specially when you are talking about elephants.....
